Dragons Bulletin - 17 January 2014
Although Dragons have now slipped to fourth in the EBL division 1 table after losing three of the last four games and now have a 8 – 4 record, Dragons are still close on the heels of Reading who only have two losses and Dragons have yet to play Reading away and Hemel [3 losses] at home. The Worthing Thunder game tomorrow is therefore a big test for Dragons to get the win and stay in touch with the league leaders and is the start of three consecutive home games which Dragons want to win to keep in the title race

We are delighted to announce we have engaged the Naked Marketing Company to promote sponsorship and publicity for Dragons and all our activities. The NM Company is based in Bradford and the Managing Director of the Company – Philip Gwynne - wants to speak to any member or supporter of Dragons about possible sponsorship suggestions. Do you know any company or businesses looking to discharge their social responsibility by sponsoring a sports club? We can offer all sorts of sponsorship packages which will give the businesses valuable publicity and help us as we expand the number of people involved with the sport of basketball. Contact Stuart if you have any ideas on who to approach for sponsorship or if you have a contact willing to sponsor/support us in any way. We need positive leads, names and phone numbers to Stuart and we will follow them up to try to get a sponsorship package signed. The website now has a sponsorship brochure as a downloadable link on it http://www.bradforddragons.co.uk/wp/sponsorship/
Deb & Jacqui from Dragons juniors have come up with an initiative to raise funds for your Bradford Dragons.
RAG-BAG SPORTS FUNDRAISING - a textile recycling scheme which collects unwanted textiles and pays by the kilogram. We have the collection bags - our idea is to distribute these throughout the club with an information sheet. The bags will be kept at the individual's house until 'multi-collection day' whereby the individual will have the option to bring the full bag(s) to said location or I will come to you to collect. This will be 'rolled out' shortly but in the meantime please start checking your wardrobe etc for unwanted items (time for a makeover!)
We have just received another cheque from easy fundraising.co. for £30+, not a lot but if everyone does their internet shopping though the easy fundraising portal and nominates Dragons as their worthy cause, we will make money easily for the club
