The return of Vance Silcott created a great inside presence and allowed the Dragons to work off of his great passing.
At the end of the first half the Dragons led 40 – 34, closing out the first half with an impressive display of team basketball at both ends of the floor.
The third quarter was a total different game as the Rockets, refueled by the half time break came out firing on all cylinders, led by their court general and point guard Wilcher, the Rockets outscored the Dragons 22-11. The Dragons battled on and made a run of their own late in the third quarter to keep the game close, reducing the deficit to just five points going in to the final quarter. Although the final quarter proved to be a fiercely fought battle, the Rockets managed to hold on to finally win the game 72-63.
