U18 Girls

Dear Basketball Player,

Bradford Dragons has entered a girl’s team in the EBL [national league] U18 north division for the 2008/9 season. I write to ask whether you want to try out for the team and be part of the Dragons U18 girl’s squad. Coach Martina Greenwood and Assistant Coach Rachel Tunnacliffe are looking to recruit a squad of around 20 girls who are U18 on 1/9/08 to play in the first Dragons U18 girl’s team to play in the EBL. We are keen to look at any player interested in playing, from beginners up to seasoned national league players, as we aim to develop the nucleus of a team to play both this season and next in the EBL.

So the first question is, do you want to play for Dragons U18 girls EBL team?

If you do not, please let me know so we will stop contacting you which will save your time and our time.

Dragons U18 girls will train Thursday evenings, 7.30 to 9pm at Bradford College sports hall, Trinity Green campus, Trinity Road, Bradford BD5 0JE, stating on Thursday 4/9/08. Home games will be on Saturdays at either 4.15 or 6.15pm at Bradford College, or a few home games will be played on Saturdays at 12.15pm at Belle Vue girls school, Bradford. Bradford College is a brand new £10m sports complex with a sprung wooden floor and will be a fabulous central basketball venue.

So please, we need to know

  1. Are you interested in playing for us in the national league?

  2. Can you attend the first training session on Thursday 4/9/08, or subsequent training session

  3. Do you know any other girls who are under 18 on 1/9/08 who want to play national league basketball

Please let me know one way or the other.
