Bradford Dragons Basketball Club are happy to announce that Andreas Lycoudis has returned for a second season with the National Basketball League (NBL) Division One side.

The 22-year-old, 6’3” Point Guard joined Bradford for the start of the 2018-19 season, having previously worked his way through the junior ranks at Derbyshire Arrows, where he made his senior debut in the NBL Division Two at the age of just 17.
Having made the step up to the top flight, with the Dragons, Lycoudis immediately made his mark in the Bradford side. An ever-present throughout his first season, in which he averaged 11.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

“I’m happy and excited to be returning to Bradford this season,” the player enthused. “We have a solid core of guys returning from last year, with the additions of some great talent.”

He added, “After a productive off-season, the team and I feel that we can compete with anyone and definitely improve on last season, where we felt that we should have done better than we did.”

Chris Mellor is also pleased to see Lycoudis returning to his roster, saying, “Andreas had a decent first season with us and I feel that with that under his belt and improvements in a couple of areas, he can definitely kick on from here.”

Lycoudis will be hoping for a good start to the season, when the Dragons visit Thames Valley Cavaliers on Saturday 28 September.
