Bradford Dragons Basketball Club are pleased to announce that 6’8” power forward, Clayfell Harris has signed up for another season in the Dragons’ Den.

The 31 year old goes into his ninth season as professional; a career which includes spells in Romania, France, Belgium, Spain and Germany, before returning to the UK in 2015. Harris then spent two seasons with the now defunct Leeds Force, followed by a season on the ‘dark side’ of the Pennines with Manchester Giants, before making the switch to Dragons for the start of the 2018/19 season.
Bradford’s head coach, Chris Mellor is a big admirer of the player, stating, “Clayfell is the epitome of a team player. Some players ‘say’ they want what’s best for the team, but don’t really mean it.
“He doesn’t have the same explosiveness and athleticism as in his younger days but he’s such a positive influence within the team and it’s great to have him back.”

Harris himself is optimistic about the team’s chances this season. “I’m ready to get the season underway. The organisation has done a great job with the talent that has joined the team.
“We fell well short of our goals last season, but I’m very excited about this team’s potential.”

The new season gets underway on Saturday 28th September, when the Dragons will be visiting Thames Valley Crusaders. Dragons fans will nee to wait a further two weeks before the first home game of the season, when Essex Leopards will be the first visitors to the Dragons’ Den, on Saturday 12th October (6:15pm).
