Bradford Dragons are delighted to announce the signing of Billy Cousins for the 2019/20 NBL Division 1 campaign. The 21-year-old, 6’4’’ shooting guard joins Dragons as the latest addition to the roster, ahead of the opening NBL Division 1 game at Uxbridge College against the Thames Valley Cavaliers on September 28th |
Notably featuring in preseason games this month against British Basketball League (BBL) sides Plymouth Raiders and Glasgow Rocks for the UK Armed Forces team.
Valuable experiences that Cousins hopes will place him in good stead with the Dragons, “I’m excited for the opportunity and keen to learn. I appreciate that I have not played basketball regularly at this level, but I hope to adapt more week on week.
“I hope to be the best teammate I can be on and off the court. Because of my career choice, I have done things and learned things about working within teams that most people my age haven’t.”
A point reiterated by Coach Mellor, “Billy is a good addition to the roster, he’s a young talented player willing to learn, with the right mindsight, and even though he has no experience at this level yet, I’m confident he will perform well when his opportunities come along.”
