DRAGONS U15 PLAYER ZION TORDOFF SELECTED FOR U15s
After playing only two full seasons of National League basketball in the EBL with Bradford Dragons Juniors, Zion Tordoff was selected for the U15 England Basketball team to play an international tournament in Copenhagen.
The selection process took place nationwide over 10 months with a final 12 chosen to play. Zion wants to build on this development with focus on improving his game and follow a performance pathway to success, He attends Buttershaw Business & Enterprise College which is also where the club training takes place.
This achievement was made possible by Zion's dedication and by the arrival of Bradford Dragons Junior head coach Tamas Okros who has built a structure and environment where junior players are challenged to better themselves and given the opportunity to learn real basketball. EB Coach of the Year - Division 1
England Basketball are pleased to announce the England Basketball League Players and Coaches of the Year for 2013/14.
On the coaching side, Chris Mellor was selected as Coach of the Year in Division 1 Men for his work with Bradford Dragons. Coach Mellor led his Dragons team through a strong season where they finished with a 17-9 record and will appear in their first Final Four tournament in Manchester.
