Bradford Dragons
(added 25 June 2014)
The club exists to provide and promote basketball – by offering coaching and competitive, equal opportunities for all groups within the sport, irrespective of gender, race or religion – via healthy living, a respect for the rules of sporting competition and social inclusion for all, both players and their families.
The club’s main goal is to provide financial stability in order to;
Secure its Senior First Team’s ability to compete at the highest level of basketball available (currently this would be via the franchised British Basketball League);
To provide further opportunities for additional senior and junior teams to also compete at their highest levels of basketball available (currently via the national English Basketball League structure), and;
To promote and provide opportunity for local and community level basketball for those who wish to participate and will fall outside of the above two groups.
The Club (via its teams and coaches) seeks to promote the participation and development of players and to assist individuals to attain their maximum potential and provide opportunity for advancement within the game as a whole – either via the Club’s own junior development programme through to the senior First Team, or to provide assistance and support externally via other Federations or Country’s basketball programmes.
