Bradford Dragons Fall Short Against City of Birmingham Rockets
The Bradford Dragons hosted the City of Birmingham Rockets at the Dragons’ Den, Inspire Centre Calderdale College. Despite a strong start, the Dragons ultimately fell short, losing 84-92.
The Dragons shot 46% from the field, including 29% from three-point range. They were led in scoring by M. Savery-Richards with 18 points. A. Lycoudis and K. Josephs added 14 and 13 points, respectively. The Dragons also outrebounded the Rockets 34-48.
The Rockets shot 53% from the field, including 45% from three-point range. They were led in scoring by L. McGregor with 21 points. Z. Powell and O. Jackman added 18 and 17 points, respectively. The Rockets also had 21 assists to the Dragons’ 16.
The Dragons led 23-17 after the first quarter, but the Rockets outscored them 25-20 in the second quarter to take a 42-43 lead at halftime. The Rockets extended their lead to 73-68 after the third quarter, and they outscored the Dragons 19-16 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
