“Last season was a new experience for Matthew at this level,” Mellor commented, adding, “he coped with the step up very well. “He’s tough mentally and I’m confident that he will improve again this season.”
Armstrong himself said, “I’m really looking forward to my second season here in Bradford. We have a great group of guys and I’m looking forward to playing with our new recruits and learning from our more senior players, alongside Coach Mellor.
“We are developing a real toughness in pre-season training and I’m sure this will show out on the court. See you all in October for our first home game in the Den.”
That first home game is on Saturday 12th October (6:15pm) when Essex Leopards will be the visitors. Before then, the Dragons start their campaign with two away fixtures, at Thames Valley (28 September) and Leicester Warriors (5 October).
